Medical Science II is a 1 or 2 block, 1 year course for students who have successfully completed Medical Science I.
Students will focus on the specific knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an internship or mentorship in the medical community. Students may also create a capstone project or participate with a mentor in a service-learning project. Students are encouraged and expected to independently manage their own educational experience with instructor guidance. Portfolio development will continue and will reflect each student’s unique knowledge and competencies.

Students should be seniors who have successfully completed Medical Science or Medical Science I and can demonstrate responsibility and maturity. Students must be extremely motivated to learn through independent study and community clinical experiences. Students will be responsible for their own transportation and appropriate clothing for any clinical experiences.
This course meets for 36 weeks.
