Requirements
Students enrolled in the Nurse Assistant Program must:
Have reached 16 years of age by the first day of the program start date (first day of school year).
Junior or Senior in high school
Maintain excellent attendance rate
Able to read and comprehend written and verbal content at 10th grade level
Be in good mental and physical health
Be free from alcohol/drug use
Work and participate as a team member
Be well groomed and maintain good personal hygiene
Have no record of criminal convictions
Have a genuine intererst in people and ability to provide compassionate, non-judgemental care to all types of people
Have reliable transportation to and from clinical sites
Required evidence of immunization: MMR II,Tetanus (Tdap) within the past 10 years,Hepatitis B (HBV) series (3 vaccines total), two negative PPD's (tuber- culosis) tests after July 1, prior to school the year and a positive varicella or varicella vaccine

This class meets on Blue or White days.
Both days are 3 period classes.
They meet from 7:45 am-12:00 pm.
You will earn 3 elective credits for each of these classes
