First year cosmetology students practiced their first haircuts today ✂️ #mainecte #lrtc

On Thursday, we celebrated our White Day Skills USA local competition champions. Students were awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze. Students who won Gold, were given a bid to compete in Bangor at the state level in March! #lrtc #mainecte

Today we celebrated our Blue Day SkillsUSA local competition winners! Students were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze, with the Gold medal winners now eligible to attend the State SkillsUsa competition in Bangor! #mainecte #lrtc

Yesterday students from Exploring Healthcare Professions visited @missionworkingdogs, students were able to interact with both therapy and mobility dogs who have graduated the program and who are still in training. Students were able to tour the cabins available for new owners and their dogs as they train for their forever partnership, learn and appreciate the care of these dogs, and of course play with some adorable puppies! We cannot wait to visit again! #lrtc #mainecte#

Last night LRTC culinary students along with student council members and staff provided a wonderful meal to all those participating in the Wreaths Across America Convoy! Drivers, veterans and various branches of law enforcement were in attendance and we could not be more proud of our students and staff!

We are honored to be a part of Wreaths Across America 🇺🇸 today!

Our Building Construction students were busy today having a birdhouse making contest!

Today students from Exploring Healthcare Professions and Nursing Assisting put on a health fair for elementary school students in Auburn!

🇮🇹 Our next Italian Dinner Fundraiser is coming up and our students did a great job at putting together a delicious menu for you to come and enjoy while helping them get to Italy!

Today students from Exploring Healthcare Professions at LRTC visited Lifeflight of Maine. Students were able to meet with flight nurses and paramedics and learn about all about how important Lifeflight of Maine is to our state. Thank you @lifeflightmaine!

On Friday students from Exploring Healthcare Professions and Nursing Assisting visited Geiger Elementary in Lewiston. LRTC students presented a variety of health related topics with hands on demonstrations!

LRTC students have been busy the last couple weeks! Going out into the community to meet with future employers, learning how to care for patients, putting on gear, making delicious food and so much more!

LRTC Business Academy welcomed Michelle and Tim Ervin from Maine Real Estate Co today. Career info and branding was on the agenda and students assembled 400 Halloween treat bags for clients! Teamwork makes the dream work!

Today at the Maine Association of Career and Technical Educators conference in front of CTE teachers, administrators and staff our Director Rob Callahan was named Director of the Year! Mr. Callahan is an incredible leader providing unwavering support to his teachers and staff. We are beyond proud to have him as our LRTC director!

Today LRTC’s students in the trades attended a construction fair and got the chance to meet an interact with business owners from all over Maine. Students met with mechanics, plumbers, construction crews and more. #learnbydoing #lrtc

Our Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management students collaborated with the Lewiston/Auburn Chamber of Commerce for the Taste The Harvest Event this week. This event celebrates our local food economy as it brings local farm foods and our local restaurants together!

Our PMT students have been working hard this week!

Today students from all different LRTC programs attended a student leadership conference in Bangor. We don’t just teach trade skills at LRTC but strive to empower our students to be the best they can be!

I spy our Skills USA Maine state officers in Washington DC. Students are participating in a leadership conference with other students from all around the country!
