How do I get from one campus to another?All LRTC students have the opportunity to have bus transportation from their home school to Lewiston LRTC and then get another bus to EL LRTC or CMCC.

Can I drive my car to any of the campuses? YES! You can drive yourself to Lewiston, EL or CMCC.  Lewiston does require parking passes with proof of insurance and registration.  Just see the LRTC main office to get a pass.

What if I am sick?  Does my parent need to call the LRTC office?  YES please call 795-4144 and let us know if you are going to be out so we can let your instructor know.  But remember...that's 4 hours of class you will be missing out on each day you miss LRTC.

What can I earn for college credits?  How do I get signed up for that? Some programs are dual enrollment meaning the students earn college credits and high school credits for them.  All of the college course sign ups happen right in class....no need to worry!

What is SkillsUSA? Are there benefits to that? SkillsUSA is a national CTE school competition at the local, state and national level in each of the programs.  We begin competing in December for local competitions, in March for state competitions and in June for national competitions.  There are many benefits including experience, new friends, travel, resume items that employers LOVE to see and more!

What if it's a snow day? LRTC snow days are the same as Lewiston High School snow days since we are attached to the Lewiston district.  You can find out by the news, Instagram (lrtc4me2) or through Reach My Teach phone system.  If your school has a snow day but Lewiston is still open, you are NOT required to come to school.

How do I check grades? You will receive a lewistonpublicschools.org email as an LRTC student.  You must add this account to your gmail in order to get into your LRTC powerschool account at lewiston.powerschool.com.  We grade on a 1-100 grading system.

Are there uniforms for LRTC? Programs like culinary and fire fighting have full uniforms, others have requriements such as closed or steel toe boots and long pants.  Your instructors will let you know on New Student Day in June! 

How do breaks and lunch work?  Every day we have "breakfast" at break.  Each student gets a cafeteria log in number for free breakfast.  Lunch is always back at your home school.  

What if there is an event at my home school that I want to attend? Any event that happens at your home school is always told to us by guidance that way we know if it's a mandatory/excusable absence or a voluntary/unexcusable absence.  We mark your attendance according to what your home school guidance says.  Most times, if you have LRTC, you come to LRTC no matter what.

Are there Open Houses and conferences?  YES!  Every year we have open house and conferences in the Fall and in the Spring.

What if my family wants to eat at the Green Ladle? Families should follow the Green Ladle on facebook so they know when the restaraunt days are and other pop up food sales they are having.  It's amazing food and something every family should taste!
