Automotive Tech
This is a two year program. The curriculum prepares students for employment directly after graduation and/or as a stepping- stone to post-secondary education. The program is modeled after the Automotive Service Excellence accredited Education Foundation (ASE), a nationally recognized industry and education leader in automotive technology.
Auto 1
Instructor Rodney Boynton
In Automotive Technology 1 students are taught the basic skills required to work safely and efficiently in a modern automotive repair facility. Students are exposed to core areas of automotive repair, with increased emphasis placed in areas of certification.
In Automotive 1 students learn the basics in Tools, Brakes, Steering and Suspension, and Engine Basics. In the classroom you will learn theory by using a program called ‘Electude’ which is game based. NO TEXT BOOKS.

Auto 2

Auto. II furthers student exposure and experience by performing tasks on live work vehicles just as in industry. The curriculum is based on maintenance and light repair.
You will continue working on certifications such as:
Maine State Inspection Lisence
ASE- Automotive Service Excellence
609- Airconditioning, Storage & Recovery Certification

You will also have the opportunity to compete in automotive competitions to test your skills.
As a second year student you will have the opportunity to work in industry under a Co-op/ELO program second semester.
