Criminal Justice @ EL
Step into the world of law enforcement and criminal justice with our dynamic program. Prepare for a career that makes a difference in your community by learning from professionals in the field.
Criminal Justice @ EL
The Criminal Justice program explores the three main components of the United States criminal justice system; cops, courts and corrections. Students are engaged in scenarios which place them in situations that law enforcement officers faces using discretion, enforcement decisions, ethics and leadership. Students learn to investigate, read crime scenes and collect physical evidence. Students will take part in physical exercises with a goal to meet the entrance standards of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Students should have the attributes of honesty, service, dedication, and a willingness to learn.
Our program provides opportunities for students to interact with criminal justice professionals, via field trips, guest speakers, and job shadows. Community service opportunities are available during the school year. Successful students will receive 6 college credits
