The Exploring Health Care Professions program is intended for students who want to explore possible future careers in the healthcare field. This curriculum will benefit students by allowing them to research and develop a career pathway for their chosen field of study. Activities will include job shadow opportunities in various health care settings and work with various special populations.
Are you interested in a career in health care ? Do you know which health care profession is right for you ? The Exploring Health Care Professions class is designed to help answer these questions and will explore the career pathway that will guide you towards the right profession and the college or certification course you need to be successful.
This curriculum is designed to offer a foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to begin a path towards a health care career. Medical terminology, portfolio development, research skills, public speaking, job shadows, tours and guest speakers will allow the student to start visualizing themselves in the healthcare profession they choose.
